the craziness and randomness that occupies my mind
We were reading on the plane today. Dennis was all excited that we had a new US Airways magazine 
While going through it we found a story about why we’re seeing more puppies in airports.
As an employee of US Airways, you can volunteer to train puppies in airports. Helping them get used to airport sounds, smells, all the people, how to fly…ON A PLANE!!! IN A SEAT!!!
I think I have a new career path! I want that job!!
Apparently common sense sometimes eludes some people. We’re sitting at the airport waiting to board and one woman said to the other…
“Well how long does it take you to walk 40 minutes?”
Really?? Did that question really just get stated??
I think the only thing I don’t like about first class is that we board first…so we sit on a plane and wait forever….the bonus is, we get wine while we wait
Today is going to be a crazy day. We are going to running around to get souvenirs bought, packing done, breakfast with mimosas of course (it’s our last breakfast). All the get picked up by the cab at noon.
But hey! First let’s go to the mall!!
We all have things that irritate us, even on vacation. One of my issues is elevators!
When an elevator stops on every floor from 6 all the way down to the lobby, it’s a safe bet the elevator will be full of people…or at least SOMEONE will be on the elevator.
So when these doors open, let the people off! You getting on the full elevator is not going to make your trip up ONE floor that much quicker. Now the people in the elevator have to move all their luggage and their self around you…just taking up space.
If you are in so much of a rush that you push the down button 4 times to get the elevator to come to the lobby, take the stairs up your ONE floor!
Having a lot of time while you’re laying by the pool makes your mind wander. Usually it wanders into strange and odd places but sometimes you wander to an epiphany. Sometimes it just gets you to places like how does paint stick to the wall
This time…it was neither, but I am looking for opinions because I’m truly not sure.
I have grown up very confident. I had my awkward ugly phase just like everyone else. It was terrible by the way! But when I got out of it I grew into a beautiful woman inside and out.
I am confident in that. I love having my picture taken. I love doing my hair and makeup so that I look “put together”. I love having fashionable clothes. I think you get the point.
Recently it was vaguely stated I am conceited by someone who doesn’t really know me anymore and I’m curious…where is the line between confident and conceited?
And who says its not ok? We grow up being forced to listen to self esteem lectures. Love yourself. You are beautiful. All of that. But when someone shows this confidence suddenly it’s a bad thing! Who says THAT’S ok?
I’m very sad to be going home! Don’t get me wrong…I miss things at home. I miss my doggies. I miss Cheetos. BUT I think having such a reliable person to take care of the babies has made it very easy to relax.
Caroline has gone above and beyond while taking care of them! Having her there makes me feel confident that we have one less thing to worry about. I have gotten emails every day without skipping a beat letting me know how they are. I’ve gotten pictures. She has been amazing with those dogs! I’m so grateful
Tonight is a night like I’ve never seen here. It is gorgeous without a cloud in the sky, yet the wind is whipping! Every time I go outside I feel like I’m walking out of the dome! It isn’t humid. The perfect amount of heat. It is just beautiful! Watching the palm trees is definitely different then watching the trees at home!
Every time we visit Cancun, we visit Limoncello. It is delicious. The service is fantastic. And last night…we carried on the tradition
This is the same restaurant where we “got engaged”. They have a table side mozzarella they make that is to die for. We had pizza as an appetizer and OMG! Cancun is known for not great pizza…the pizza was incredible!
Our waiter has spent a lot of time in Chicago so talking with him was easy. We didn’t have to repeat and he joked with us and talked about Da Bears
We stay at an all inclusive resort with gourmet restaurants so some people think its silly to go out to eat, but it’s worth it! They even have a crocodile that hangs out there that they feed! He’s worth the trip alone!!!
Yep. I have bathing suit issues. I decided today I was going to duplicate and wear a bathing suit a second time. Nope. Can’t do it…changing the whole outfit. Let’s see if dennis notices
So sad that today is our last day!!! We wake up tomorrow and have to check out at noon. I have no idea what time flights are…although I should find out so I can tell my dad
Today….lots of sun. Lots of drinks. Delicious dinner and lots of shopping!
